AP biomimicry 3 Redesign of old planes

In this class, we learned about how things decompose and how some things should be reused to save resources and prevent axis waste. For this action project, I designed a system to waste less material. I saw how planes just go to a graveyard like a place and rot and I thought why can't we just scape them and recycle all the aluminum in them. To wrap it up what I took away from this was that there are many different ways to reuse things that are "out of commission". I feel like this is a good idea and they should at least try it. I feel as if it can save a lot of aluminum and reduce the number of harmful chemicals given off

Stand by me

Movie title: Stand by me

Genre: Comedy/Drama

Director & Date of release:
Rob Reiner 1986
Main actors:
River Phoenix, Wil Wheaton, Jerry O'Connell, Corey Feldman

A group of 4 13-year-old boys goes on the search for a dead body. Throughout the movie, there are a few arguments which really make them think about how they are spending two days to find a dead body and they start doubting continuing the search. Gordie Lachance convinces everyone to keep going because he felt like there was something missing because his older brother Denny died in a jeep crash and since then his parents have been ignoring him. They finally find the body and then they run into Ace Merrill and his “Cobras”. They want credit for the find and Ace is willing to kill them. Gordie pulls out a Colt .45 that Chris stole from his dad and make them back off. They set the body to sea and forget the credit for it. They go back to town and all go their separate ways and talk about how they are going to see less of each other now because of junior high.

Something I noticed Old clothes Chris’ clothes is more worn than the others. This shows that chairs’ family does not have a lot of money like the others Stephen King said this was semi-autobiographical soi think he had a really close friend who was poor. Stephen kind chooses a lot of these amazing shots on purpose such as when they got back.

There is not GCI in this movie. I thought the train scene was GCI because they jumped past a train but the way they filmed it was just having the train a lot further away then what it actually was but they zoomed in on the train so it looked closer.

The film's score was unique and gives you a nostalgic feeling which doesn't occur with many other films now. Also, they use the radio as like kind of a mood meter in the day it's more upbeat and at night it plays slower songs.

There are many good sounds but one of the best is when he fired the gun at the barrel it was a lot louder than it should have been and it makes you jump a bit.

This movie plays on a psychological level because it uses some sense of nostalgia that makes you think back to a time that maybe you never experienced which is very interesting how easily human emotion can manipulate that heavily. It makes you feel like you have been there before which I really like. I read a comment on the score soundtrack video saying that they felt they connected more with these kids in the 89 minute run time than any other modern-day move that's 2 hrs or more.
